Overview​

The Realized Capital Gains/Losses (G/L) Widget provides a clear picture of the net profit or loss you have actually incurred from the sale of your investments. This widget helps you understand the financial outcomes of your investment decisions by comparing the sale prices of your assets to their original purchase costs.

Data Displayed​

  1. Realized Capital G/L This figure shows the total net profit or loss you have actually incurred from the sale of your investments. It is calculated by comparing the sale prices of your assets to their original purchase costs. Realized gains occur when you sell assets for more than their purchase price, while realized losses happen when you sell them for less. This value provides a clear picture of the financial outcomes of your investment decisions to date.

  2. Gains and Losses Breakdown

    • Gain: Shows the total amount gained from investments sold at a higher price than their purchase cost.
    • Loss: Shows the total amount lost from investments sold at a lower price than their purchase cost.

Settings​

  1. Accessing Settings:

    • Click on the settings icon to open the settings menu.

  2. Type of Holdings:

    • Dropdown Menu: Select the type of holdings you wish to view from the dropdown menu. Options include:
      • All Holdings
      • All Stocks
      • Dividend Stocks
      • Non Dividend Stocks
      • ETF
      • Funds

  3. Saving Changes:

    • After making your selections, click "Save" to apply your changes.
    • Buttons:
      • Default: Resets the settings to default values.
      • Cancel: Discards any changes made.
      • Save: Applies and saves the changes.
